Many visitors ask if they can visit Epstein’s island in the Virgin Islands. Here’s the real answer, plus what you can actually do nearby instead.
Short answer, no. Little St. James is private property and there are no public tours, ferries, or legal access for visitors.

Visitors often ask out of curiosity, but most quickly realize there are far better experiences nearby. St. John beaches, sailing trips, snorkeling tours, and waterfront dining offer much more memorable ways to spend your time.
If you are staying on the east end of St. Thomas, you are already close to some of the best day trips in the Virgin Islands.
Local Tip: Book a sunset sail or snorkeling charter from Red Hook. You will get beautiful island views without focusing on one private property.
