Little St. James is located just off the east end of St. Thomas, so visibility depends on where you are.
From certain boat routes between St. Thomas and St. John, passengers may see the island in the distance. Some east end beaches or elevated viewpoints can also offer distant views on clear days.
That said, it is not a sightseeing destination. Most views are brief and far away, and there is no public access.
Visitors interested in scenery usually find better photo opportunities at nearby beaches, overlooks, or national park areas on St. John.
Local Tip: For scenic views, head to Drake’s Seat, Paradise Point, or Trunk Bay on St. John. Those are worth the camera time.
