Drake's Seat Lookout
Iconic viewpoint overlooking Magens Bay and the north shore — short walk from the parking area.

Drake's Seat, Northside, St. Thomas
Where it fits
The setting and how to plan for it
Drake's Seat earns its place on a St. Thomas route because the stop is quick and the view is enormous. From the ridge, Magens Bay curves below the hills while the horizon opens toward nearby cays, St. John, and the British Virgin Islands. The green bench and overlook make an easy photo pause, but this is still a roadside viewpoint with limited space, not a staffed attraction or a place to linger in the traffic lane. Add it to a Northside drive, then continue to Magens Bay or another hilltop stop.

Before you go
Build Drake's Seat into a drive or have an experienced driver include it in a broader Northside route. Pull off only where it is safe and legal, keep clear of the active road, watch children closely, and expect parking and crowding to change with weather, tours, and traffic.
