Brewers Bay carries two reputations at once among locals and repeat visitors: the beach by the airport, and the beach the cruise crowds don't know about. It sits right at the end of the runway, so watching planes take off and land is genuinely part of the experience rather than a nuisance reviewers complain about. The reef here holds up well for casual snorkeling, with stingray and sea turtle sightings reported at dusk, and travel blogs consistently point to it as one of the more sargassum-resistant beaches on St. Thomas thanks to its northwest-facing position — trade winds tend to push seaweed toward east-facing beaches instead. Facilities are minimal: changing stalls and not much else, so this isn't the beach for a full day of amenities.
