Limetree Beach

Limetree is a small cove beach fronting the Limetree Beach Resort by Club Wyndham — rebuilt in nearly the same footprint after Hurricane Maria destroyed the original property (then called Bluebeard's Beach Club) in 2017 — but the sand itself is public, and reviewers are consistent that it stays genuinely quiet even at capacity, with some describing being in the water with only a handful of other people. Entry is a little rocky before it opens into soft, silky-bottomed water, and opinions on the snorkeling split along experience lines: Some visitors call the fish life along the rocky edges on both sides decent and easy, while A longtime visitor who's stayed at Limetree for over a decade is blunt that it isn't great compared to St. Thomas's better dive spots, and points newcomers to the on-site Aqua Action dive shop, which runs day trips to Coki Beach and St. John instead. What the resort setting does provide is real infrastructure without an entrance fee: two restaurants (a steakhouse and a poolside grill), a swim-up bar, hammocks and shaded seating on the sand, and a reliably good sunset. It's a beach-day pick built around calm and privacy rather than a snorkeling destination.
