St. Thomas vs. St. John vs. St. Croix: Which Island Fits Your Trip?
There is no universal “best” USVI island. St. Thomas is often the easiest first base: it has the territory’s busiest airport, broad dining and shopping choices, marinas, and connections to nearby islands.
St. John is the choice for national-park beaches, snorkeling, hiking, and villa stays. It feels quieter and more protected, but you should plan for hills, limited parking, and ferry logistics.
