Choose St. John for one clear reason
Name the beach, trail or Cruz Bay visit you actually want. A passenger ferry serves Red Hook and Cruz Bay; it does not take you to every St. John beach. The park describes a walking connection from the Cruz Bay terminal to its visitor center and Lind Point trailhead, but current trail conditions and your group’s ability still need checking.
Choose St. Thomas for less island-to-island travel
If your priority is time at a beach rather than visiting St. John itself, compare a St. Thomas beach first. This avoids the ferry crossings, but you still need to confirm local transport and access for the beach you choose.
Pause when the return is unresolved
