Drake's Seat
Named after Sir Francis Drake, this famous scenic overlook provides one of the most stunning panoramic views on St. Thomas. Activities: Photography and sightseeing. Visitors can see Magens Bay, the British Virgin Islands, and the point where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. Highlights: Legend says Drake used this spot to watch for enemy Spanish ships. Today, it features an iconic green bench—a favorite for tourist photos. Cost: Free. Note: Parking is very limited and the site can become crowded when cruise ships are in port. No facilities or restrooms on-site.
